Everyday life seems like it would be simple. Perhaps uncomplicated. Throw those notions out the window because everyday life in OUR house is very complicated and far from simple. Welcome to the Betts family. There are four of us. John is the dad, Tanya (that's me) is the mom, our first born daughter is Abigail, and our second born daughter is Natalia. Right now, we live with my mom and step-father. That's the complicated part. Living here is just plain complicated. Do not get me wrong, we love my mom and step-father, but to share a house with them? Not cool!!!
Tempers constantly fly. Personalities clash as if there is no tomorrow. You could cut the tension in the house with a knife. John and I are trying to see how we can buy our own house. When you make less than $25,000 a year, people are not lining up to give you a mortgage. We actually found a house that was repossessed here in our town. It is for sale for $42,500. We will see what happens. Problem is that it is a one bedroom house with almost no yard. What to do, what to do.
How do you deal with someone who just can not be dealt with? No matter what you do, it is the wrong way. Does not matter if you scrub the floors with a toothbrush, you should have done it with a hairbrush. This is the problem around here. No one communicates with each other. Well, tomorrow is another day. Maybe I will wear the wrong clothes and get yelled at. Bottom line is that it really STINKS to live with roommates. I keep saying, tomorrow is another day.
